By public transport: Destination Gotland offers special Båtbussar (ferry buses) in cooperation, which travel directly to the port. The timetables are coordinated with the ferry times and tickets can be booked together with the ferry crossing. There are connections from:

- Jönköping via Nässjö and Vetlanda
- Växjö via Kalmar
The buses stop directly at the ferry terminal.

Journey to Nynäshamn
By public transport:
S-Bahn (Pendeltåg): From Stockholm city center, the S-Bahn runs directly to Nynäshamn station (journey time approx. 1 hour). The ferry terminal is only a few hundred meters away from the station.
Direct bus: Alternatively, there are long-distance buses between Stockholm and Nynäshamn.
Båtbuss shuttle buses (coordinated with the ferry times) operate, among others

- from Uppsala via Arlanda airport
- from Eskilstuna via Västerås, Enköping, Strängnäs and Södertälje
Important tip: Allow at least an hour's buffer before the ferry departs to compensate for possible delays on public transport.
By car: The journey time from Stockholm to Nynäshamn is approx. 45-60 minutes via highway 73 (Nynäsvägen)**. Parking is available at the harbor and access to the check-in is well signposted.
